    I want to sue!

I want to sue the salon owners I use to work for. I was a apprentice at the salon, which bascially means i am a cosmetology student getting my license through the salon, and today the owners had fired me. I have worked at the salon for a year, a non-paying job, trying to get my license. In order to get my license i must put in 1,500 hours in two years at the salon, in that case i had over 1,500 hours in a year. So i only had a year to go. The owners made me work as a reciptionist, half of the year, also to add they did not pay me for working as a reciptionist. I was really fed up with working as a reciptionist, and told them i did not want that position anymore. So I continued my apprenticeship program. I also have a another job, because i need to make money, and am also taking college courses. To make a long story short the owner dropped me in the apprentcieship program because i wasn't putting enough hours in,25 hours a week, and taking college courses and haveing another job means i wasnt fully dedicated to it. What should i do?????? PLEASE HELP. Can i sue?????
