    Rotten Boss

I have been working in for this evil man since 7/2005. I started out as a hourly + comm sales rep for a retail wireless independant dealer. By the end of Sept they made me a store mgr (and put me on salary + comm )of a brand new store in a brand new shopping center 74 miles from my home, for the first 6 weeks there I worked alone 74 hours a wk and only got paid for 50 since I am on salary, I finally hired 2 employees and everything was going fine. After the Christmas rush the store slowed down to maybe selling 25.00 of merchandise a day, I kept getting email threats of being fired if we dont bring up the sales and last week I was was put on suspension for a week for lack of productivity, I found out on 1/25 that they demoted me to sales rep making 1.00 less than I was originaly hired at, I get my paycheck today and they only paid me for 55 hours for 2 weeks at my new rate even though I worked the previous week as a manager. Board of labor says my boss can due what he wants since Bush passed a law in Aug of 2004.... what a crock that is.

Reply: Sorry about the blank reply. To qualify as a salaried employee, check out the us dept of labor website. www.dol.gov/esa/regs/compliance/whd/fairpay/fs17a_overview.htm To be salaried, one must meet certain criteria. Hope your job situation improves. Maybe something better will come along.

Reply: Although it's not going to directly help your situation, you should read "why your boss is programmed to be a dictator" at www.changethis.com - it will give you a good idea of why things happen the way they do.
