    Boss' stealing from clients

I have worked for the same company for over 3 years. I have a brand new home, 2 nice cars and foolishly, no savings account. My husband and I have never learned to save. We have 3 children. He works 2 good jobs because he likes to. One for the city and one for a heating and A/C company. Together we make a pretty decent living. In December I figured out that my boss might be stealing from our clients. I confronted her with the evidence and she blamed it on the computers. In January my assistant and I found all the evidence that we needed to prove that she was infact stealing from our clients. Scarey as it was we confronted her. She broke down and half-way confessed to having a gambling addiction. Needless to say my assistant and I put in our 2 week notice and called the Real Estae Board on her. We did not return to work after learing that she had stolen over $100K from several different clients. She has also had her real estate liscense suspended since being investigated but no criminal charges have been filed yet. Now I have no job and have applied for unemployment. My benefit amount is not even enough to cover the bills. There should be some recourse for employees such as myself. Some kind of restitution she should have to pay to us. It took alot for us to come forward and turn her in. And it seems as though the only thing that has happened is that I have no job now and I'm scared I'm going to lose my house. I know that I am not the only person that this has ever happened to. Does anyone have any advice or perhaps an inspiring storey?
