    Inappropriate use of email

I accidently came across some emails on my boss' computer; he was discussing me to his cyber buddies - not very pleasant comments. Rest assured, I was not snooping. How do I deal with this? It is extremely difficult to trust this boss and I feel that I constantly need to look over my shoulder; apart from that, he seems extremely guilty and is walking on glass when he needs to speak to me person to person; he prefers to email me with requests.

Reply: your like a broken record. First my boss is moody, now he's calling me names. You've got all the signs, now take the hint and get out! I'm sorry this sounds harsh, but when things go wrong at work, as opposed to a fine wine, they usually don't get better with age. Take it from me, I know from first hand experience, find another job and tell your current boss to stick it. Nothing else will solve your problem.

Reply: Broken record - I don't think so; I've never taken the easy way out especially when I know that I've done nothing wrong. What comes around, goes around. Boss or no boss, everyone should be treated with respect and integrity. If we should all give up and walk, we will never know nothing but defeat. Don't get me wrong - I do appreciate your advice.

Reply: If you like your job, then stay and don't let anyone run you out. I would try and forget what I saw was written about me. They are the ones with the problem. Everyone will have a different opinion about you. Only your opinion should count about yourself. If you are honest with yourself and work hard, then don't let other people's comments a leg to stand on. They know what they are doning is wrong. Don't let it bug you. Forget and go on. If they what to communicate via email or phone, fine. It's easier for you. Just don't try to read between the lines. Be happy and enjoy your job. Jobs are hard to come by.

Reply: Thank you very much hatlady. I've been at this company for 25 years - that record stands on its own merit. Consider the incident forgotten.
