The main boss is fine most of the time. However, his brother is another story. He is one of those people who are impossible to like, he's old fashioned, big headed, makes everyone feel stupid, delegates the staff with unnecessary work, butts into our personal life, makes us tell him before we go for lunch or go home, makes lame jokes, etc. Anyway, I did a stupid thing, well, it didnt seem so stupid at the time. There is hardly ever any float in the cash box and I had approached him a few times regarding this. So I sent an email to everyone mentioning how embarrassing it was when a customer comes in and to please ensure that there is adequate float in the cash box from now on. He called me into his office after every1 had gone home and told me that he was very hurt by that email and it just seemed rude. He told me that we are working in a hierarchy and that he's allowed to send firm emails whereas I am not. He said that he understands that I am a bit naive about office rules and human resource techniques, so he's teaching me. I then confronted him, in a nice way, about how he makes us (the staff) feel stupid sometimes. He seemed shocked that only he, and not his brother, made us feel that way. I was really upset, on the verge of tears at this point (I hate confrontation), so I said that I was late and would speak to him on Monday. I am so worried about tomorrow, I will have to speak to him and it will be so awkward. Was the email so bad? I absolutely despise him!!! How can I confront him tomorrow without blowing my top? I cant work under these conditions any longer. I feel like quitting tomorrow.
