The Bully at Work: What You Can Do to Stop the Hurt and Reclaim Your Dignity on the Job

Reviewer/Reader Feedback: "If I had read this book MUCH sooner (such as when the bullying FIRST started), it would have helped me emotionally. I would have realized MUCH sooner what was happening, and known that I wasn't crazy. I could have fought back sooner, and would have known how, and which strategies to use. I also would have kept detailed records of each bullying incident, and I would have gotten witnesses' statements. In short, if you are even questioning yourself about whether bullying is happening to you, or not, BUY THIS BOOK."

I am so sorry to hear about your situation. I am going through something similar. I had a boss who is a control freak and had nothing but bad things to say about me. I now have a new awesome boss and it doesn't matter as she is still keeping her nasty ways. It is sad as I am having a hard time moving foward with the weight of her on my shoulders. I really have to be careful as she can make my life even more unbearable. It makes me so mad too. Oh well, guess in perspective, work should only be work. Keep your chin up as it sounds as if it is not your problem. We both need to not give so much power away. Best of luck to you.

The chargehand sides with the supervisor as a survival mechanism. Keep a detailed work only diary of conversations, times, responses and all the things that upset you. Some may seem trivial but they are all important. If they overstep the mark,or you find enough is enough, you have a body of evidence to show your solicitor. Can you move to another department. Can you take sick leave for stress or workplace induced depression. Can you leave and do something else. Read some websites on bullying - it will be a revelation to you. Most of all, keep that diary.

    I also have a bad back-due to a work injury,your employers have a duty of care,and can't make you do anything to worsen a pre-existing condition,Good luck

I can empathathize with all y'all. I work for a surgeon and the nurse is a bully. Very power driven & money hungry, someone who will run over anyone in her way. I have a 3rd interview at another local (major) hospital on Friday. Wish me luck guys...nurse bully wants to take control of everything around here, well she can do it ALL once I'm gone. P.S. I have psorasis and when stress is going well, no worries, it's fine...but right now my scalp is on fire. Smile though, God loves us all.
