    Misuse of Authority

I recently took a position at a very well-known non-profit in Connecticut. I'm blown away by the turn over in staff. The non-profit has been consolidating positions between the branch I work for and another. We are now sharing their "Director" two days a week. I've found the Director to be grossly misusing her authority. She has written up 4 employees I know of in the past 2 weeks. I've seen her go from 0 to 110% angry in seconds. She has 5 grown children and seems to treat the staff like they are her children..........abused children. Thank god she is not my mother. So far 4 nurses and one scheduler has quit. My boss seems unhappy and most-likely will be moving on too. I'm coming in under the radar with this director at the moment............but......the problem is: the Main (headquarters) loves the director...How do we let them know the gross misuse of authority we are dealing with...... she is an angry, nasty, women..

I'll be leaving their within the year myself........It's nowhere I want to work..under these conditions........

    Thanks.......

Reply: Stay under the radar- or get back under the radar if you want to last a year- Remember your plans and goals in life. YOU can make it for the year- and have plans for a new job thereafter. Just remember- a job is just a means to an end. AS employees, they awn us - so stay cool - do not sweat the small stuff
