I'm not sure how to handle this

I have been more ill in the past year than I have ever been. I have recently discovered three different medical issues that have caused me to be out sick for between two to three weeks this year. These illnesses are not life threatening and with the right medication and dosage will no longer be an issue. These illnesses do not affect my ability to do my job other than when I am feeling really unwell from them, it is better that I take time off. I have told him that with each illness we are working on getting the medication right so that it is no longer an issue. He wants to know what these ilnesses are. What am I supposed to do?

Reply: The only thing you are required to submit, is a doctors note. Your boss may be afraid that you have TB or aids. Both of which can be passed along to someone else. It seems like he is afraid.

Reply: Well, legally you don't have to disclose your medical history. Not even certain if it's required, if you do have a infectious, or contagious condition. Of course, it would be the moral choice to not put others safety at risk, but in terms of legally, I don't believe that they can force you to disclose your medical history.
