I was asked to develop advertising sales for the site, specifically to help monetize their traffic. After working diligently for several months on contacting some of the world's most reknowned agencies and Fortune 500 companies, I began to receive responses. This website was pretty bare-boned, however with my previous internet experience, I provided consultation in addition to sales on how to increase their revenue. During my tenure their site rankings increased exponentially, and I was all set to begin receiving proposals for business during the fall media planning cycle. After receiving a request for proposal for 2MM from Honda, I immediately felt the hostility increase towards me in the office. Initially, I dismissed it as competitive office behavior amongst co-workers, but immediately found that it was being directed from the owners of the company. Next, my client the US Army was stolen and sold under the umbrella of a different business owned by them. I grew a bit more leary and asked the owner, what happened? He immediately went in to defensive stance stating that I should have never trusted his son and other partner from the beginning. So i continued to move forward because I had several gaming companies scheduled to come on board, as well as possible deals with the Big 3 Automanufacturers in Detroit. Well, of course I found that my bosses had planned a trip to Detroit to meet with my clients behind my back. When I inquired, they then allowed me to attend.
