Where did all the good bosses go?

I have worked for a worldwide company for nine years. I h ad two wonderful bosses for the first four years, then came two of the worst bosses I have ever had.

They are both idiots. They cover up their ignorance by joking, throwing questions back at you, treating you liked dirt, and laughing at you. The one that is my immediate manager is the worst of the two. You can't have a normal conversation with him. He interrups by jumping all over you and questioning why you are doing this. I think it's because he doesn't know what you are doing, and it's his way of finding out without revealing his ignorance.

The other manager--his response to everything is, "Cool!" When someone is out sick and I tell him, he raises his thumb, nods his head, and says, "Cool!" What an idiot!

Our evaluations come around once a year, and last year, my manager did mine without even having a meeting with me first. He gave me a piddly raise. This year, I thought I would be proactive and request a meeting with him to go through all my accomplishments for the year. When we met, he jumped on me about the first item I mentioned and asked me why I wasn't using a different system to do it. He told me I was wasting time doing it this way and should be using the software program the company provides. I explained to him that I had tried and the template doesn't fit my needs. He asked me if I had called Support. I told him I hadn't. He told me I need to do it.

As I went through the items, he had this silly grin on his face every once in a while that said to me, "Big deal!"

When I was finished, I asked him if he had any comments. He said, "No, I'm not prepared to say anything. This was your time to talk,"

The evaluations are due in two weeks. Wouldn't it be smart to start on them early, considering that he has a lot more than mine to do? What an idiot!

I have no respect for him. He lies. He covers up his mistakes or blames them on others. He talks rudely to my co-worker until she cries, and he isn't even her manager. I have gone home crying sometimes, too, and I have a knot in my stomach most of the time. The stress is always there.

There is one female employee that can get away with anything. Rumor has it that she sells marijuana to both bosses. I wouldn't be surprised.

Yes, where did all the good bosses go?

Reply: Youre lucky if you found good boss. I mean, good and kind employer inspires employee. Thats my experience, when my boss shouts at me, it makes me disturb and you know my mind flies out to the window of my office. Its hard to deal with such kind of boss. Id better get payday loans than to work with such kind of employer.
