just started a new job, where the boss is an idiot. to say incompetent would be putting it mildly.

however, i have been warned that my 'tone' is not appropriate - but how the hell do you tell someone that their brainchild is actually a mentally impaired reject that should have been aborted at inception? its a new company, in the charity sector, and the director thinks he's wonderful. but i've come from a coorporate background and can just cringeat everything he says.

the side effect of this is that i am being given more and more minor tasks to fill my day!

Reply: I work for a nonprofit. The range of bullying and incompetence is staggering to say the least. Some of the bosses make everyone else do all the work while they sit around all day doing nothing. You can't have a civil converstion with them. You can't explain to them that the way they do things will end in total failure most of the time. And, of course, they're free to insult you and yell at you in front of other employees and customers. If you stand up for yourself you get sent home. And this is in a so-called "Christian" organization. They know they can get away with their abuse of authority because there aren't any jobs around here. All they can do is make us do just enough work to not be fired. I hate my job and the way they get paid to crush the morale from us. These bosses are undereducated and overly mean.

Reply: Everything in that first reply is unfortunately true. I made the switch from Non-profit to corporate and couldn't be happier for it.
