He retired 2 years ago. His son took over. He doesn't know how to deal with people. He meddles in. He saps managers' morale. He does not understand what each of us does. He spends company funds for personal goods/services and puts it down as business expense. He is not consistent. He doesn’t do as he says. The rules don’t seem to apply to him. As the longest serving staff member and also the finance director, I tried to broach the subject and was told to mind my own affairs and to show respect. This person has done nothing to earn respect by the way. I am at a loss as to what to do to keep my management team motivated, and increasingly to keep myself motivated. We love our jobs, we love the people we work with. Our staffs have been with us since the beginning and anybody joining since then has stayed on... till now. We have a capricious, tantrum-prone little man to deal with, and we don’t know what to do! Would anyone have some advice for us?
