Boss who does not know how to to designate...

I have this Boss, who really is a nice person. I mean really is nice. I believe that he believes that woman are secondary, and that the opinion of a man is the only important opinion. When there is a problem at the warehouse, he will yell at a woman, before he says anything to the "man" that actually did the error. We have a man that is just doing what he can to go up against our boss. This battle sometimes has other staff members caught in the middle. So we are left unheard because both are so engrossed in being right, and being the Alpha male that it is just going nowhere. I received an email telling me that he has found some discrepancies in the warehouse...these very things I mentioned earlier, and they were left untouched. BUT because I was not available to work a weekend, he is going to make life miserable for me by picking apart...anything. I told him we should sit down and work on a clear headed strategy, and a defined set of tactics. He told me that he was the Boss, and I am the Supervisor. I am wondering...is it time to move on? I feel this is just a place where I will always be banging my head on the table.

Reply: I disagree with you completely. Anyone who behaves the way your boss does is most definitely NOT a nice person, Whether or not you should move on isn't really the question you should be asking. The more important question here is why you think this appalling misogynistic jerk is "nice."
