Just started work a month ago and am a temp to hire employee. Thursday evening, things were backing up due to new employee's doing bad work on some manufacturing products. These will have to be reworked and will take lots of time. I asked my employer about it and he said he had it under control. It went on for three days with more bad products every day by a employee. Every day more and more rework. I go to the supervisor and he says he has it under control. Well i found another box that needed rework that we had been finishing. It was messed up. I went to him and said the person doing this would be in shortly and this would go on and more and more bad products produced. He yelled at me and said "Did you not hear me"? Do you not understand what i told you"? Do you not get it?" I wasa floored and upset as i am the only person up to my quota at work and work very hard. Dont even go to the bathroom as i am on a timeline to finsih work. I am doing three times the work as everyone else and have my quota every day. I punched out and told him he was a bad supervisor at the end of the shift. Called the plant manager and he said he would talk to supervisor and get his side of the story also. I hate being treated like dirt. Like i am less than a human. Manager never called and human resources said take the day off(friday) until it was worked out. Sounds like i am out of a job or do i go in and stand up for myself. Lots of money is being lost at company because of rework and is so easy to fix and i was just trying to save the company time and money for something that they could fix fast before it got worse and worse. One lady stayed three days and could not do it and was scared to tell the supervisor so she just quit as she could not do the work. She asked me if she shoud go to sup. and i said yes but she said she was scared. Is this normal working conditions for manufacturing plant. Thanks for your time. Would appreciate any response.
