Taking away a sale after a new rule has been established at the workplace

I am curious what my rights are as an employee who is responsible for meeting definitive sales goals each month and then have a sale taken away after you have done a housecall; using your car to your destination; closing the deal; but, because I converted the quote to an order; based on the 'new' rule they initiated that no designer is to convert any quotes to an order otherwise you will lose the sale and it will go to the store. Is this legally acceptable?

Reply: Dear Gary, They incorporated a new position, entitled Soft Goods Manager; it's his responsibility to convert all quotes to sales due to the errors made by so many designers. They got fed up by correcting so many mistakes. But, I'm still questioning the legalities of them taking a sale away from us if we converted the quote.
