You would think that working for a guy like that would be funny, but it's actually extremely annoying. Because this guy is my boss, I have to listen to what he has to say and do what he wants me to do. Even though a lot of his ways and ideas are inefficient and just plain stupid. It's hard because I'm always one step ahead of him when it comes to the work load. Someone will call me and tell me they sent me a request for a job they need done. I print it out and get started. 20 min. later I'm in the middle of a project. Here comes my boss, "Hey so and so sent you a request. You should do it this way, why do they want that, why didn't they ask for this, I'll finish this you go work on something else."

Snatches is right out from under me and messes it all up. 5 min. later: "Umm, how do I do this, where can I find that, how do I put it together?"

Are you kidding me!!!??? This dumba** is my boss!!!???

This is the same guy that yells across the room "How do you spell the word sending. How do you spell allow?" He thinks Chuck E. Cheese is pronounced Chunky Cheese.

I've worked with him for 4 years now and I think he's getting dumber. Here's the kicker, he thinks I can't do anything for myself!!! Always shoving his help down my thoat till I suffocate. It never once crosses his mind that I've been here for four years and that I can do these simple daily tasks like a big girl. And I'm constantly telling him "I really don't need your help on this, if I do I will ask." He kind of give me that look like "huh?".

And reminds me 6 or 7 times a day that I need to deliver the mail. This is something I've done everyday for 4 years. YOU CAN STOP REMINDING ME NOW! I THINK I CAN HANDLE IT!!

Every year he goes on vacation for a week. Which leaves me all by myself in the department. I get more work done in that week than do the in all of the remaining 51 weeks.

He's also a liar. Apparently he's a black belt(if you saw him you would know it was complete BS) a registered massage therapist, a pro volley ball player, a pro dirt bike rider and mechanic, an electrician, a chef, a bee and wasp professional, a pro fisherman, a football player, and a ballerina. You can tell this guy anything, I gaurantee you he'll not only say he's done it, but he's done it better or more times that you. He's the one-upper.

I have tried to talk to him on many occasions about these problems and he just doesn't get it. I've even tried talking very slowly and loud. Still nothing. I've talked to his supervisor but he is a very busy man and has put it on the back burner.

It's to a point where the last few days I've been coming an hour and half late because I have no desire to be here at all. I hardly do any work anymore because I know as soon as I start working on something he always has to question it or just takes it away from me. Then it doesn't get done on time because.......he's an idiot!

The only reason I'm still here is because there is another company in my building that is hiring in January. They mentioned it to me to see if I would be interested and they're going to pay me twice as much as I make now.

I'm not really looking for advice. There is nothing you can tell me I don't already know. I've tried everything. I just wanted to share my story of the real life Peter Griffin.

(PS, he also smells and gets up close in your face with his nasty coffee/cigarette/a** breath)

Reply: I don't think you should have put this guy's name in your post - it makes you look unprofessional and therefore no better than he is. Plus he's bound to find out about this post of yours (whereas he wouldn't have - or at least wouldn't have known it was about him - if you'd kept his name out of it). You've just given him an excellent (and legal) reason to fire you for cause, and sue you too, should he choose to take matters that far.

Reply: No way would I put his name up here. I do this from my computer at home. Not work. Even if I did put his name up here and then sent it to him. He wouldn't get it. He would say something like "Hey this guy has the same name as me!"
