what can i do? with bad feedback

i have moved to this new role full of enthusiasm, i really thought it was going to take me far - i have also relocate for this job and moved my family away.

as it turns out i had been struggling for the past 5 months, my boss completely absorded in his little projects leaving me to deal with a portfolio of three very difficult projects. he knew i didn't have any experience on the subject and on the methodology applied. his auggestions or solution to my questions were most of the time inappropriate and made me look stupid infront of business partners and colleagues...to make a long story short now it is the end of the year and i have to complete my appraisal process. i feel i have never reached this low in my job, i feel i have not accomplished anything and more then anything my morale is so low I feel i should quit. another example he ahs asked to complete a very important business document which i have never done before he sent an email saying " i sent an email to the senior manager who is awaiting this document for review and he suggesting to follow the following procedures for you ..ABC" i went back to him saying " i thank you so much for taking the time in speaking to senior management about the document however i really feel i need support from you because in allhonesty I'm not sure i can complete this without your input" and he replied saying " good luck !" and left dealing with it -

i just received a feedback very negative which was complainning about the fact i did not understand that particular part of the business ....i have been on a high all my carrier with this company, working hard and gaining the respect of my colleagues and seniors for the ideas i had, in here i feel scared to speak and share my ideas or suggestions - CAN SOMEONE PLEASE HELP

Reply: I had been through what you are going through. I think one of the ways to combat what you are feeling right now is to remotivate yourself so that you have the courage and zeal to work on projects assigned to you. If possible, try to establish constant open communication with your boss so that he could help you when you need guidance, and don't hesitate to ask your boss questions if you are not sure what to do. Asking your boss questions can help you understand what your boss is asking about so that you can come up with clear directions to complete your projects. Good luck!
