Worker Abuse at "Bully-Mart" USA: Country Epidemic or Local Issue?

I would first like to thank the principles who promoted this sensitive issue at careerbuilders.com & monster.com.

I have worked for a major international employer for 5 yrs. And this company's basic management style is purely steeped in intimidation, incrimination, and extreme worker dissatisfaction. There are no jobs available in retail, if their competition is not around. Are there others like me?

Reply: sorry you have not heard from others on this mattter. Our local is mixed: some seem very happpy, and some workers look like Night of the Living Dead...miserable and glassy-eyed. I suspect a lot of the climate is local, but these companies also are known for a trickle down effect in corporate climate and this one in particular will always put the dollar before the person, the "win" before the community culture and small business. All hail the free marketplace at any cost, eh? I hear they pay low wages, import child labor products and generally worship at the altar of consumerism. If these are noot your values, and you are not a masochist to their management style, GET OUT!
