We're convinced our boss is crazy and he's lost his mind and doesn't even know it. He's either on drugs or just plan nuts or both.

Reply: First let me say that commenting on your situation is not easy because of the limited information...but I'll give it a try. There could be many reasons, (but you already know that), some of which can be: 1. Personal problems at home. 2. Medical problems requiring a doctor's care. 3. Business problems which he/she doesn't want to discuss because he/she is embarassed. 4. Many other reasons. So what to do????? Easy, select one or two people to meet with him/her and start off by saying "Hey, we care about you and the compnay and we think that maybe something is wrong and we want to help." This is the best I can do without knowing any more. Best of luck. Contact me at troccoli@juno.com if you have any questions. Vince T.

Reply: Thanks for the good feedback. I'm tired of him refusing to sign my timesheets and making my payroll late. I'm fed-up with his false accusations (today he accused me of using his credit card). And, I'm sick of his verbal abuse. I don't care what about his cultural differences. I know my legal rights and what he is doing is breaking the law. I reported another written complaint to my agency to submit to the client's HR dept. If I walk into the office on Monday, 1/8 and he still hasn't signed my timesheets, then another complaint will be sent by certified mail. I have a reputation for not putting up with unethical or unprofessional behavior in the workplace. If nice doesn't work, then the gloves come off. They may win their battles, but I always win at war. Thanks for the tips.

Reply: I recommend that your disengage and unentangle from this individual emotionally. If you're getting paid on time, his refusal to sign timesheets is not your problem. It's a deliverable that he's not meeting. His problem, not yours. You're only accountable for your work and the work of those reporting to you.
