    Surely something is illegal here

I do not know where to begin. I am the administrative assistant to the Owner of a company that grosses over a million dollars a year. The probelm is my boss never comes to work. While at the same time will not allow any descision to be made without his say so. He takes multiple vacations a year on the company dollar, yet I have yet to be able to take a vacation in three years. He rants and yells when I occassionaly have a doctor's appointment. The last straw was that when calling his cell phone he was having sex while on a conference call with me, as I was trying to meet a deadline. You can hear a women giving audible instructions and moaning. I also have a registered sex offender emplyed in the office who often has medication issues and yells and screams. I was told I could not leave the office for lunch. I understand that I need to leave, but surely I have a legal claim.

Can I be denied vacations or time off? His response was I got the weekend and Monday (Christmas) off, what am I complaining about. I do not work weekends usually unless it is necessary.

Reply: Whether or not you have a legal claim depends completely on where you are. Please advise if you're in Canada or the US.

Reply: Don'tcha just hate it when someone begs for assistance/information and you go to all the trouble of reading his/her long post, you think about it for a while and research possible responses, and then when you ask for a teeny bit of info to help you formulate a good accurate response, he/she can't be bothered to answer?

Reply: Yeah it's a drag, but you just never know what's going on with people offline. They may not have a computer or the time to go online much, or maybe just need to vent. :)
