Reply: ahhh-black empowerment. it is a tricky thing. be careful, as often in the workplace, yes, being a champion for our people is good, but, i have learned the hard way that your own people can hurt you deeper than anyone ever has in the workplace. my boss is so bad to work for, people speculate that perhaps he is mentally ill. the bad thing about it is we are the same color, and i expected him to be in my corner. it is a thin line to walk, the balance in between promoting diversity without alienating yourself. i say go for it and give it all you've got, but also remember that the enemy comes in every color-take care

Reply: What does your company do? What makes the Other Races become Partners? NEVER mention your doing it for a RACE reason. This may work for some but then all will happen is you will be a figure head and can be replaced a any moment. Find a what you need to do to deserve to be in the position and OVER DO IT. Being a WHITE male I am not very excited when someone is simply wanting to advance a race. Also being a white male sometimes we don't get looked at since we are white and male. However I have to follow my own advice make them WANT me SO bad that if they don't get me they know SOME OTHER company will. Just my thoughts, Nathan

Reply: What would you say to someone who was interested in 'white empowerment'? Unfair? You have to realize that a supervisor cannot legally support one race over another in the workplace. Any 'encouragements' from that side may alienate him or her. A boss generally likes to think that he or she is capable of making independent decisions, without the help of subordinates. Generally, the idea is to get the most qualified candidate to fill an open position, regardless of their race. Too bad you are obviously too narrow-minded to understand this.

Reply: WOW...what ever happened to "I want to help my company be successful?" AND be successful too. I agree with the others...leave RACE out of it...let your actions and RESULTS speak for themselves. Good luck to you...you have set some goals..get them focused and GO for it.

My question is, In which way could "black empowerment" black empowerment assist me in achieving my goal? Can you give me some contact details of people or networks that are associated with black empowerment, particularly with regard to finance in order to start the company.
