    Don't be a Victim : Do Something.....

I would like to encourage all employees out there who are dealing with bad bosses and bad work situations to stop being victims and DO SOMETHING. There are both state and federal agencies that may be able to help you. However, you must prepare - they cannot go on your word alone. A log of dates and times of events and conversations is admissible in court (it is also helpful to name others present, as they may become potential witnesses). I did this, and I succeeded to some degree. I was not reinstated at my job (but I had moved on to a better one). I did not win any money in a lawsuit (but I had not really lost much). But, through the actions of a State Board and the FBI, I was able to rectify great wrongs that I had seen perpetrated by that corporation which I felt powerless to rectify by myself. The branch I worked for knew that I was privy to their underhanded dealings, because I was in a position to know and I had asked too many questions. I am not stupid; I just could not stand working for a bunch of liars and thieves. Imagine my surprise when I saw the FBI storming my former workplace on the 4:00 news, and hearing that the corporation's 77 branches in ?? states were stormed!! Evidently, I was not the only person who complained.....
