help. i work for a small financial institution in our online banking dept. i learned that my direct boss was making some unethical decisions with some of our customers personal accounts. she would ask for the customer's login & password & look thru their accounts, even while the customer was not on the phone with her. with this information she could have paid bills, transferred funds & drained the account all while being logged in as the customer. i felt that she compromised the security of our customers accounts. i know howe defensive she is so i spoke confidentially to her boss, without naming any names. she found out & was furious. i think that she is mad because she knows that she is doing something wrong. what do you think?

Reply: I have seen Code of Conduct policies that refer to a point person for reporting. Otherwise, it sounds like this is a banking violation and that your legal department would certainly rather hear about it internally than have horrible things happen externally. Hopefully you can do this anonymously.
