My boss is a control freak!

My supervisor has control issues. I mean to the point of slowing down other employee's progress. Mind you our entire room works on a deadline. This supervisor has informed our department as well as the other departments in the building that we are not to contact each other but are to go through her for everything. She has poor attendance and this makes all of our lives difficult. I have caught my boss in out right lies and thinks that whenever things aren't working out her way, she can change company policy. Mind you, she technically does not have this power but since her boss is so busy and my supervisor manages to keep things from her, my supervisor gets away with a lot.The only people able to do anything about her won't because she really doesn't affect their work ethic much. But there are three of us that she has total control over and since our company has no grievance process, we pretty much have to take the garbage she hands out.Recently she went so far as to demand that when a new system was installed by our corporate headquarters that she will never work on, she demanded to be trained on it at the same time as my training. She slowed down what should have been a one day training into a 4 day ordeal. Then slept with the corporate (married) person to make herself feel like she was more important than she really was. This does not even touch what this woman does. She deliberately walks across the room to find out what people are discussing and tells others how to do their jobs when she has no clue what their jobs really are.She has told several employees that they are not allowed to ask questions of our human resources dept. but must ask her first and she will ask human resources. She hides everything in the room that people need so that in order to get supplies or even small items such as a pen, she must be asked for it. She is so controlling, that my job gets harder and harder every day.

Reply: Get out! There is no other way of putting it. Or if possible request a transfer within your company.

Reply: It sounds like your boss is a control freak! it must be a very difficult place to work,to have someone slow things down and to have so much pwoer over what is being said and what is needed something like a pen. I feel for you and hope you can find a better work environment. It is sad to see that others are in a similar situation such as mine.I wish you the best.
