Basing health premiums on employee health assessments

Our company just announced it is basing health insurance premiums on annual risk assessments that look at cholesterol, blood pressure, blood glucose, weight and other factors. Some of these are due to heredity and some may change with middle age. If you don't show up as healthy, you will pay more for health insurance.

Anyone else have any experience with this? Is it legal?

Reply: What are these "risk assessments?" What do they entail?
