How far can a company go in a team building exercise?

What if they want you to do something that is really odd? One company has meetings where employees stand on tables and sing the company song and company cheer. Another had a physically demanding team spirit exercise where everyone ran carrying buckets of water!What about people who cannot do these physical things?
