    dishonest, unfair bosses

I wrote a small article last year and took peoples advice about my boss who was paying certain people "under the table" (or as she says, out of petty cash). I brought it to the attention of the manager in charge of these people, who then confronted my boss who replied she didn't know it was wrong!!!??? well now she is up to more tricks, I have found her giving hours to a few employees who leave early or come in late. These are hourly paid employees like myself. I left early this week for a doctors appointment but it was never mentioned that I would not have to make up my hours, which I always do! I emailed her this past Friday that I know about the hours (I work in Payroll and approve all departments) she gave them and asked why it isn't a policy for everyone. I am now waiting for her response, which I know she will not write back, as this would be evidence against her. Instead, she will most likely let me know in person, and very rudely may I add. I am prepared to go over her head to her Manager. The problem is that they let her get her way because she has been in their employment so long. How far must I go in order to rectify this situation? Everyone in the office has a problem with my boss (a term I don't like using) yet noone says anything to her, but they let me know all. I believe that when a person can be very cruel as herself, things will turn around and bite her in the a.... I was a friend to her at one time until she told me something very personal against my children that another Manager told her. I know the other Manager has a right to her opinion, but my boss should not have repeated to me. Since that day I never discuss my personal life with her. I only talk if I have to about business, which even then is very difficult.

Any comments are geatly appreciated! I love my job and 99.9% of the employees EXCEPT this one person.
