Having work for over 20 years in one of englands emergency service i am now struggling to deal with my imediate boss,He is a intimadting bully of new recruits,He is a complete job "anorak".Having spoken to higher ranking officers regarding these issues over a number of years i am now being accused of chacter assination but strongly believe that he should certainly not be in the position of trust and authority that he is in,He is not doing the station, public or service in general any justice at all.

Dispite how well i put my grievence to senior managment, they seem unwilling to take action so as not to rock the "boat" Leaving this employment or moving stations is not an option because the way the system work.

Reply: There is always Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC). Make a formal written complaint with dates, times, witnesses. Contact your Department of Labor, Attorney General. If you have records that you have taken your concerns to upper management and they have been ignored, so much the better. Document, document, document! I can tell you that your senior management is in big trouble, because they are opening the company to a harassment lawsuit. Get moving and good luck!
