    When is it too late?

I work for the school district and about 8 mos ago I was terminated. My boss came in and said, "thank you for working in this dept. Due to your probationary status, I waive MY right to disclose the nature of your termination. You will revert back to your last position" (p/t library media tech). I was employed 5 months. I tried the 20 questions route. He did not say one word! I approached him about 3 times afterward and no luck.

I took care of 3 large schools, had open communication with my teachers. Very organized but not without putting in the hours to complete the level of work that was required. I have an email from the CAO stating "this position requires many hours, please claim ALL your OT". Received awesome letters of recomm. from the principals and teachers of those sites. My supervisor never observed me, never saw him as I was on a different campus than he. I have evidence of a person who doesn't like me that she was biased in the reports to my x-supervisor. I was a 30 hr a week employee, I carried a timesheet for the extra hours and OT which amounted to no more than 10 hours as his secretary.

Eventually i'd hear of something. The principal on my campus was screening apps for a position that would've been the next step in my career from my library job. He blatantly stated in HR, "as long as the vice principal and I are on this campus, Rachel (not real name) will NEVER get another job here". The witness calling me with that statement was very upset and knew it was not fair. Armed with that statement of Defamation of Character/Slander, my evidence of the snoopy lady part, and her admission to one of my teacher friends of her huge part in my termination, I went to the CEO of the school district and laid all my evidence on the table. He said a lot didn’t make sense. The extra hours were approved and paid, yet after the fact he is stating negative comments about my hours. It’s been 2 weeks since seeing the CEO. *sigh*

One negative word in the school district is death to ones career. I have no protection. The union won't touch me. What is being hid that I was just the pawn in their game? The only time I can move on is when the changing of the guard happens. I screen in for every job I apply for but as to date, passed over every time. I'm not going to run away from this. I love it here, I didn't do anything wrong.

There's more, but you get the gist of it.

    Thanks....
