My boss, is also the owner of the floral company I work for. She is a pretty grouchy person day after day...then when we get busy she is really hard to listen to. Demanding, griping, belitting us. But, yesterday she 'made a speech' and targeted myself and one other worker. She took about 15 minutes to verbally abuse and harrass us. Her accusations were directed at the two of us and I promise you they were not based on truth. Our supervisor interupted at one point and spoke up on our behalf...but it did no good. I have been in abusive relationships and I am too wise and too mature...and too healthy to just let this go. I was off today..unrelated to yesterday's events...and I am planning to address this incident to my boss/owner tomorrow. I may get fired, or she may make things where I want to quit. I am not being paid all that much and there are plenty of jobs out there that pay what I currently earn. My emotional well being is far more valueable than the meager hourly wage they pay me.

I work for a company that encourages management to threaten it's employees thinking this will make them more productive. Management has forced employees to work off the clock and to falsify their records so the numbers will look good on paper in order to advance their careers. They have sent supervisors to employees homes after they have called in sick to bully them into coming to work. There is mandatory overtime irregardless of family obligations. We are allowed only 2 request for an 8 hour day per month. This sounds unbelievable but I assure you this is true. This company is an international company and if I were to give it's name most everyone would recognize it.
