I'm the bosses next target to be fired, unsure about the recommendation that would be given if interviewed elsewhere, what should I do?

I'm a new graduate and obtained a job at an organization that I respected;however, was hired at a "bad time".I developed friendships with my several of my coworkers. It turned out that the new boss was unhappy with this "clique" that I had made friends with. This group are good employees and perform their duties well, so that was not the issue. The boss fired one employee, using false accusations, none of which had to do with job performance. Now, I had been accused of saying something that I did not say and was approached in a manner that I could not defend myself (sexual harrassment)(I am a female). It has become obvious that I am the next target. My concern is that this is a small town which I live and there is only one other hospital in town for which I could apply. I am concerned about what my boss might say because she is displeased with me (she is vengeful), if the false accusation might inhibit employment there, if I should quit, stay and risk other lies on my new record. How do I gain the chance for employment elsewhere (they have 10 RN positions there) without being "done under" by this inept boss?

Reply: I feel if you are being harrassed by this boss, it would be better for you to leave rather than get fired. Go to the hospital and apply for a job. If you want you can tell them why you are leaving your old job. Or move on to a new city and start a new life. If you just graduated and have no ties husband kids etc moving can be a great thing. But honesty is the best when looking for work. The truth can not hurt you and the lies they tell will in the end get them. Good luck
