I have worked for this company for almost 10 years, I was asked to resign or work in a position that i know will worsen my back problems. The problem is i can not quit the job, so i am working under medication. What can i do?

Reply: Seems like to me, if a job you are doing is going to cause you back problems, your company would be smart enough to know that they would have to pay workers compensation if you are hurt or if your problem worsened because of the job. I am also sure your company must know that if you are hurt or your injury worsen because of a job they are putting you in is a potential law suit. At least in Califronia. I worked with someone whose previous injury worsned and boy did our company pay for it.

Reply: Why did the company decide you weren't to do the job that doesn't cause you as much pain?

Reply: Okay, so for some reason your employer doesen't want you doing your previous job. That reason could be anything from poor attitude to unsatisfactory performance, and any one of the million possible reasons in between. The only possible way you can get your old job back is to ask why it's being taken away from you. If the reason is something you can do something about, then say so. During this conversation with your employer, also talk about your back and how the new job is causing you additional pain etc.
