I was currently a manager at a coffee shop for three months .when i first started i was told we would be on payroll,Then i was we would be paid every two weeks.My first check was over a month late.the owner wrote me a check that bounced. Every sence then stuff hes been taking home with the employees get blamed for.for instance we make real whipped cream that requires niterice he inhales it supposedly for health problems and accuses us of taking them.or he comes to work so high he writes checks for over 100$ and then calls us when his bank calls him to say they bounced and asks us if we wrote the check and he has his check book with him.Another thing is he uses frequent excuses like oh i cant find the time cards, family/health problems,im to tired or too busy to give you your check.He keeps offering me medical grade weed in exchange for money and ive been clean for about 5 years.i told him i dont do drugs I got really sick last week and almost went to the emergency room so i went to the doctor brought him a doctors note saying i wouldnt be in for a week or so and he called me every night eight or more times to talk about business and harass me at all hours. when i told him i quit he just laughed and called me more the next day. i gave the other manager my key and then called my boss and told him i expect my check by friday.well friday came and i didnt get my check. now that im going out of town and need to pay rent i told him that i needed it tonight by 5:30 no excuses or id call the better business bureau and the californina labor board he still didnt leave me a check.
