Naricissism in the workplace/My Boss is crazy

The turnover in our organization is horrible....and we are losing great people because of our naricisstic boss. She treats everyone horribly (myself included) I am already being treated for depression and anxiety and this is making it worse. I am looking for another job myself, which stinks because I really love what I"m doing, but I can't take it anymore.....she is horrible to me..seems jealous and is constantly taking credit for my work. The past few weeks, she won't even look at me and pretty much ignores me (which is fine by me). Board members are started to "get it" because 70% of the staff has left since she was promoted to the "head" role. She's all about "her title" but doesn't really do a whole lot to help the organization succeed. She only cares about herself and that makes it difficult to do my job (being that I care about the organization). It's so hard.....she needs to be let go. Can anyone relate to what I'm going through?

Reply: Hi! I can relate! I just resigned to my position. My boss was the worst. She's a director but I cannot understand why, since she's always late, and all she care about is where is she going to take the clients so she can go to a fancy estaurante. She also is on the phone braging sbout her position and how much she makes which makes the rest of the office really unconfortable. I had a problem on my leg and she asked me (sarcastically) if I had to amputate!!!! I left the job after that.

Reply: I can relate. It sounds as if we have the same boss. I too am a target. I too cant stand it and dont think its right. I too see a huge turnover and see all the good people leaving. It is up to people like you and me to stay and try to do something about it. If you didnt want to do something about it, you wouldnt have bothered with this site. Please dont go to another job. I know its tough, because I am in the same situation. If you quit, that means that they win, and it will continue. There has to be other employees who feel the same as you do. Find some of those and stick together. Thats what I am trying to do. I try to keep the good ones from quitting (which I havent had a lot of sucess yet) but persistance will pervail, and so will the kind hearted. Keep your chin up and know that what comes around goes around... eventually. :)
