    Moron Boss Failing....yeah!

Worked for a man who was the most egotistical, arrogant, immature and incompetent person! Made employees go to his house to clean up the dog crap in his yard, work on his new home, deal with his nutty wife, etc. Employees who valued their jobs, did his bidding w/o question. He and his company were/are sued by vendors/tradespeople on a regular basis for non-payment and yet HE thought HE was getting screwed!!! When I asked for time off to get married, I was told that, as usual, I should wait until HE was on vacation or out of town so as not to INCONVENIENCE HIM! And, he asked me "do you have the time coming?" Well, not only did I have plenty of vacation time (I only wanted to take a Fri. and a Mon. off) but HE OWED ME COMP TIME DUE TO THE OVER 1,000 HOURS OT I HAD PUT IN THE PREVIOUS 12 MONTHS!

I could go on and on...plently of horror stories, but the upside is a) I no longer work for him and b) his company is failing miserably! Yeah...sometimes Karma bites!

Reply: Update...this nutjob has already closed one of his money-loosing businesses (poor management and poor morale causing employees to quit) and sounds like another portion of the business is on it's way to closing too. Anyone know of any website that allows a person to post their experiences w/a particular company so as to warn potential employees? Would this even be legal? This guys organization is almost constanting running new employement listings with Hotjobs, Monster, etc. that are misleading...I feel for the folks that actually get hired only to find out weeks later that the job entails personal errands for the owner's entire family, taking care of his pets, working unpaid OT, etc. Not to mention that the co. and the owner are being sued by folks he hasn't paid. Hire turnover in the acctg. dept. due to the verbal abuse they take over the phone (not to mention the questionable acctg. practices they see) by angry vendors! I heard he's been through 2 admins. and countless temps since I left...LOL!
