My immediate supervisor (a male) and I get along really well. But his boss and I are like oil and water. On the days when he leaves me alone everything is great and I really like my job. Then there are days when I feel like there's a racial or genderal slur tatooed to my forehead. It's like it's a sin for me to say "I don't know" nevermind the fact that I've not touched the subject of the question in more than 3 months. My immediate boss tries to be helpful and says it's ok if I make mistakes but his boss just looks at me like I've confirmed his caveman like beliefs about what women can and can't do. I really don't want to quit my job but I've got this neanderthal who just manages to skin the surface of sexual discrimination breatheing down my neck. Just as an example: I work in IT. My immediate boss tells me to download a VPN client so I can work from home (as I need to) and get the unzip password from his boss. When I ask his boss for the password I get a 5 minute lecture about password security (hello!!! that's as basic as 1+1=2 for a network admin). Please offer me advice. I don't want to lose my job or quit but this jerk is really making me miserable. womeninmanswrld
