    Tired of all the excuses

I work for a manager thathas not an ounce of personal accountability. She makes mistake after mistake then "Lies" to cover her butt. I have discussed her limitations as a manager to upper management, just being ignored. Any suggestions?

Reply: Maybe try a paper trail? I currently face a boss who pushes the blame to me when things go wrong. Started a paper trail so that the OTHER boss can see how projects are progressing (both are actual bosses of the company - no upper management). I print EVERY SINGLE thing. After a meeting session, I email him a summary of our meetings ("to ensure I get the facts right"), I make sure I print all emails (including repeat emails that try to seek his input). Seems to be working.

Reply: Documentation is very helpful in keeping track of accountability. But its been my experience that if upper management ignores her limitations, they are basically approving of it. Still, your documentation ought to help cover your own 'butt'. Let us know if this works for you.
