    Passive-aggressive evil genius

My boss is an evil genius. She can manipulate me into doing things so easily! And just after I comply, I think, "Damn! I fell for it again!" She treats all of us like we are children, and speaks to us in "we," not the Royal We, but what I call the Kindergarden We, for example, "We need to put on our shoes so we can go to school." Or, more accurately, "How are we doing on that report?" when "we" aren't working on it, just "me." I am starting to suspect that she says "we" for everything we (meaning myself and my coworkers do) so that later she can take credit if it works out. She asks totally rhetorical questions, and then blames me when I call her on it. She told me yesterday, "I would never do that," but she'd just done it twenty minutes before! I know better, but it just makes me SO MAD. She is a control freak to boot, so I am at a loss. Any advice?

Reply: she's bound to give a bad reference when i leave. if only for missing so much time for chronic medical problems, but in reality, she's hated me from the day we met. with new law on sharing info w/ new employers, what's a woman to do?

Reply: Yes, your understanding is absolutely right about what she did to you... why bother do things for her, but if you still need that job badly. Yep.. evil genius.. My boss is the same way.. I also have tpo help her spelling so many time.. "Ladies" -> her wrote -> Radies... "Separately" -> she pronounced separetly So, what you expect from her... I had one that before, then I do thing on my own, no more talking, no questions to ask.. because everyting in the department were from me... why bother asked her.. I just got to the point that.. I was ready to go... Yep.. she knows that she does not have ability to do... the way you do.. the job.. you can feel it right away.. from day one.. exactly like my boss... Taking break and smoking all day are her priority...
