    Obnoxious manager

My manager is an obnoxious, sexist, bore of a man. I (also male) find myself cringing at some of the remarks he makes - especially those to female colleagues - and know I'm not the only one. He portays himself as a caring man of the people but is actually a bully who doesn't like being challenged should someone disagree with him. The problem I have is that he is well connected in the business and I get the feeling I will be made a scapegoat if I raise any concerns. It's a catch 22 situation as I really enjoy my job. Any advice would be much appreciated.

    Thanks in advance

Reply: I do not advise going over your boss It can backfire badly. Why are you disagreeing with "the Boss"? You cannot be bothered by remarks made to other people. Look out for yourself.

Reply: I agree with unlucky7 -- I would not confront your manager since he holds the position of power. Also, even though he is a jerk, but since he didn't do anything illegal, you would not win when you try to confront him.
