    undermined and Belittled

I had an accident at my home this week ( Broken Toe ) which means I obviously couldnt work for 3/4 days as I could not walk. I phoned the manager on shift ( who is my manager as well to let him know ) He basically hung up on me after i told him and i was told to `sort it out myself`

He has now taken it upon homself to slander me off to other employee`s who work under him but also under me.

He actually wrote `Steve is a ****ing ******` on a white board in the office which was seen my a few members of staff becfore he could rub it off. Also serveral other little pieces of slander have been written on items view by other members of staff like `reliable steve` and stuff like that.

I can go above him and talk to my Boss about it but i know he will try and brush the whole think under the table

What other options do I have if I can porve what happened?,

    Thanks

    Steve.

Reply: I would try to obtain written statements from those that have witnessed his antics. I'm a firm believer in documentation. If it isn't documented, it didn't happen. Keep us informed...Good Luck!!

Reply: Slade - IMHO, from 1x dealing with HR - which I will never do again. You have sent the e-mail to upper management. DO NOTHING. It is their call. Just do your job and stay out of trouble.

Reply: Ok, you injured your toe and could not go to work. You need to come in with a doctors note. As to the rest, leave it alone and just do your job. Do not stir the pot. FOrget witnesses. Others do not want to get involved. They need their job. Stay away from that tactic.

Reply: Before you up and quit your job. 1. you will not get unemployment benefits and 2. this is a bad economy and jobs are hard to come by. Keep the job till you get another job. Ignore the rest because you are planning your escape and keeping an income until then. In the end you will do what you think is best.
