    Being Fired

I was fired back in June, 2003. I had a boss who harassed me on a daily basis - was critical of everything I did. Even if I did something right, she criticized me in some form or fashion. She would be hateful and sarcastic to me in front of other employees, then deny it when I talked to HR. What do you do in those situations? HR was no help to me at all in this situation. Signed, Sad Lady

Reply: It's amazing how management gets away with the things they do. Your situation sounds so horrible, but the good thing is that you don't have to deal with her anymore. Have you talked to an attorney about suing for harrassment. If she did it in front of other employees, they would have to be honest in the court of law or they may required to give a depostion to yoour attorney. I would check with a labor or employment attorney to see if you have a case. I feel that no one deserves to be humiliated and abused like that in work. Abuse is non acceptable, so you will be helping others that may encounter problems from this person in the future.
