My boss is always calling me in for pettiness and she likes control of her employees, which she dislikes in me because i will not jump or feel intimidated when she comes around; so she calls me in her office for things that aren't job related. recently when I complained to her that a coworker filed a document away that she was very much aware that I was waiting for- the blamed me and made the comment "here we go with this he say she say stuff- i'm getting stressed out- i get no support from this supervisor and the co-worker i refer to is an office bully, which is a result of my supervisor's mangerial skills. what ccan I do

Reply: I am not sure what the deal here, but if you feel your boss is on your wrong side, don't come to her with things like you just did- to complain about others. Of course she will not take your side. So, don't do it. Deal with problems without involving the boss as much as possible and deal with bully separately. You don't complain, you don't whine and you don't consider the bully the most important person in the office. You stop playing this game, which you are losing. You don't react - you act. You do your work the best you can and you act like a professional, not a victim- bullies love to target victims.
