    Quit a Job

I quit my job earlier this year before I could find another one. I was having problems with one of my bosses who I feel was harrassing me and who got a few co-workers to do the same. I am having a hard time finding a job, as interviewers ask why I left a job I had been on for over 10 years and I reply with I wanted to work part-time and attend school - both of which I am doing. The part-time job is less than part-time and doesn't pay the bills. I feel as though I am in the same situation as someone with a felony record. Any advice I could sure use it.

Reply: Is it possible to contact your bosses, including the one you were having problems with, and get letters of reference or agreement that you can use them as references? You may want to go over with them the reason you left so that you're on the same page when your interviewers contact them (not to open up old issues). That would help alleviate concerns potential employers might have over why you quit and that you might walk out on them.
